Capto

One simple tool. Three incredible results.

  • Improve operator safety
  • Handle delicate and heavy fabrics with ease
  • Reduce your machine downtime with 15 minutes

Changing machine clothing. It’s a job many nonwovens producers dread for the machine downtime, the fear of damaged felts and fabrics, and risking worker safety. The Feltest Capto is designed specifically to make changing nonwovens line clothing faster, safer, and stress-free. All in, they save about 15 minutes of machine downtime - and a lot of stress and strain.

Increase operator safety

The Capto makes handling of nonwovens line clothing safer for operators – and fabrics. Its fast self-latching action and 4th generation rubber grips prevents the Capto from slipping off your felts or fabrics – even if they’re wet. A rope can be tied through the handgrip for safer, remote operation, taking worker safety to the next level.

Easy. Comfortable. And good for business.

Machine stops should be as short as possible; so your machine clothing should be installed fast. The Capto helps you do just that. This 4th generation is 25% lighter than its predecessors for even greater comfort. And when you need to replace the grip pads, just swap them out—there’s no need to buy a whole new unit.

TensioMaster

3 good reasons to measure the fabric tension

  • Correct Tension = Better Runnability
  • Prevent wrinkles, torn fabrics and downtime
  • It’s easy, quick and reliable

Correct tension = Better runnability

Nonwovens line clothing running at in-correct tension will have a negative effect on the machine’s runnability. Too low tension decreases the fabric’s stability, resulting in wrinkles and unplanned fabric changes. Too high fabric tension influences the fabric mesh and changes the dewatering behavior. It also increases the load on bearings and rolls and can result in torn fabrics, with all the dangers and costs that come with it.

An uneven tension over the machine width will guide the fabric to one side, requiring continuous counter-steering and resulting in considerable wear and profile problems.

Suitable for forming, press and dryer fabrics

The ruggedly built Feltest TensioMaster is a compact precision instrument that measures the tension in running nonwovens line clothing. Readings to check and set the desired tension are taken quickly and accurately. The framework offers an isolated area of the fabric to the sensing element, which is applied with a predetermined spring load to the web.

Monitoring felt compaction

The travel of the sensing element is converted into fabric tension, as indicated on the calibrated dial. The maximum reading is held by a sliding pointer which can be easily reset. Accurate readings can therefore be taken in a safe way, even in dark places or difficult to reach areas.

The TensioMaster comes with:

  • User manual in English
  • A solid carrying case
